Kids With Character

When J was in high school/college, he helped out with a sports camp that was designed as an outreach tool for kids in the community and also provided a positive environment for kids to learn important qualities and characteristics needed for life. Because he saw the benefits for everyone involved in these camps, he began sharing the idea to our church staff and how this would fall right in line with the mission of our church. I am so thankful that our church got behind his efforts and offered several fabulous opportunities this summer with our Kids With Character Camps. Last week was football and cheerleading camp (sadly, EK had a nasty cold and had to sit out) and this week was soccer and musical theater. The kids learned skills for each specific activity they participated in but more importantly, they learned characteristics to live out a Jesus centered life. Pretty good stuff! EK had a fabulous time this week and she is counting down the days until the dance camp in a few weeks
A group of 50 K-5th graders put on a precious program today. They did a fabulous job and EK said she had so much fun performing.

He's a proud little brother!
Nana was in town for a visit this week and we were so glad it worked out for her to see the show before heading back home.
G and Kay Kay were with us to see their "star!"
Haley was there to cheer her on as well.
Sweet girls!
It was such an amazing week for this girl and I love that she got to share it with her daddy. He along with so many other staff members and volunteers made the week so incredible for so many kids!  From the youth ministry to children's ministry to recreation ministry to missions to evangelism....seriously everyone played a huge part in pulling these camps off....so thankful for all of them!
