Trunk or Treat 2012

Our church hosted Trunk or Treat last night.  It is always so fun and it finally felt like fall last night!

Thank you so much Kay Kay and G for keeping the kids this weekend and for hanging out with us while we walked around at church.

 I just love these two!!!!

This is Ella Kate's friend Connors.  I mean, how cute are these two? We told them to stand together for a picture and this is the pose they did.  It's like they are a college couple at a date party! AHHHHH!!!!
 I can't even deal!!!!!

People go all out with the decorations.  I loved this one!

This is our friend Sam.  He was cracking me up as the old man from UP.  He had little glasses too but he wasn't a huge fan of them.  I could just eat him up!
We are excited for the Halloween fun to continue on Wednesday!!!

Weekend Wrap-up

We had a busy (shocking) and super fun weekend! On Friday, J took the kids to the park to play and I ran a few errands.  It was a gorgeous day and Ella Kate had a great time...and I so enjoyed a few minutes just to myself!!!
Ella Kate and I showed our Maroon Friday spirit off on Friday at school.  We still believe in the team and support them!! Hoping that this week's outcome will be a little bit better!!!!!!!
Ella Kate did a lot of playing this weekend.  She loves the magnetic paper doll set that Aunt Ellen made for her for her birthday.
I mean, who wouldn't want to play with a paper doll that looks like you?
Big news for Brother Bear!!! We have a tooth!!!! It makes me want to cry because he is just growing up too fast, but he looks mighty cute with that little chomper peeking through on the bottom!!!
Here is a better view...
Ella Kate received a very special piece of mail.  Cinderella sent EK her very own postcard! We mailed a letter to Cinderella a couple of weeks ago and EK was THRILLED to get her postcard.  She loves it so much that it is what she picked to take to show and tell today at school.
Mom and Dad spent the weekend with the kids so I could help J with our high school fall retreat.  The kids LOVED every minute of it and I enjoyed getting to have great conversations with some pretty amazing students.
Yesterday was Trunk or Treat at church.  My little Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse were pretty precious!!! I will be posting a TON of pictures soon.

Happy Monday!!

Our Weekend

We had a fabulous weekend relaxing at home.  It was very bizarre to be in Hattiesburg with a game day/Homecoming weekend in full swing in Starkville, but we just needed a little bit of time at home and it was perfect!

We kicked off our weekend watching the Warriors play.  It didn't go so well for OG, but I think my kids were the cutest little fans there!!!
Ella Kate had fun hanging out with "the big kids"  (J's students)
Saturday morning, Ella Kate and I ran to Lowe's to buy some mums and pumpkins while J and Walker watched Sportscenter.  Walker LOVES it...he is such a boy!!!!  When EK and I got home, she decided she needed to go leaf pile jumping.  Well, here is south MS, not many leaves have even started changing colors, let alone fallen.  No worries though, J worked hard to rake some gross brown leaves into a little pile to make his little girl quite the happy camper.

How bout them Bulldawgs!!! Woo Hoo! 7-0!!! I saw on twitter that the last time the Yankees were swept in the playoffs was 1980.  A couple of weeks later, MSU beat #1 Alabama 6-3.  Just saying...
Have a great week!

A Day at the Farm

On Sunday, we were back on the road again.  J's cousins from Arizona were in town, so we headed to Oxford to J's aunt and uncle's farm.  The day started out pretty dreary, but cleared up and allowed for a lot of fun!!!

I just love these two little monkeys!!! What a precious gift we have been given in them!!!!
Meemaw had a big time watching some of her great grands.
And the great grands had an even bigger time playing on all of Uncle Buddy's toys!!!!
Ella Kate DID NOT want to leave.  Every time they would circle around to the barn, she would beg the driver to go some more.  Needless to say, she crashed on our way home.
 Nana loves her grandbabies!
Ella Kate is obsessed with family these days.  How everyone is related, who her aunts and uncles are, and especially her cousins.  She loved playing with Taylor and Taylor was so sweet to spend so much time helping EK keep up with the big kids.
Walker was thrilled to get so much loving from everyone!
Ella Kate must really love John David to ignore the horrible shirt he is wearing and still want to hug him!
We are so blessed to have such wonderful families and it was so great to get to spend time with each of them.

Game Day

Saturday was such a great day!!!  We left Jackson bright and early to go cheer on our Dawgs.  We started our day with a little lunch with Aunt Diane, Uncle Gregg, and Shelby.

We are so excited for Shelby and Adam bc they are expecting Baby White in May!!!! Please also take note of this awkward family photo moment as we posed with Brad's picture(#23)  We missed getting to see Brad in person since he was on a mission trip in India.  How cool is that?

Two peas in a pod!

I say this every time about these girls, but I just LOVE my friends!!! We missed baby Reid in this picture, but as everyone knows, you NEVER wake a sleeping baby!!!!
Mary Reeves is always so sweet with Walker and she seems to really love to hold him.  I think he likes her too!
My sweet little Bulldawg...with her bag of stuff.  Everyone needs a golf ball, mini shovel, baby doll bottle, and about 10 dollars in coins at the tailgate, right?
We love "Aunt" Pam and J and I so enjoyed getting to sit with her during the game!
The Nelsons came and picked up the kids since the game was soooooo late, so J and I had a date night...

with Pam and our friends Bryan and Rachel Brown.  Rachel is from Tennessee, so it was especially fun to mess with her!!!

And how fun are these guys?? They show the SNL skit before each game, but these guys were a nice touch for sure.
Sweet Victory!!!! 6-0...a good feeling for sure.  See the guy with his arms raised?  We fondly referred to him as "high five guy."  Every, and I mean every time State did anything well, he would stand up and high five all of us.  Bless his heart.  He jumped up and down, waved his arms like a cheerleader, and high fived the whole game.  I am guessing he slept well Saturday night.
It was a late night for the two of us!!! We finally made it to Columbus at 2:15 am!!! Yikes!!! But, it was an awesome time and we had a blast!!!!
