Going Bowling

J, Ella Kate and I headed to the Golden Triangle last Tuesday afternoon to spend some time at the Nelson's. J's mom had surgery early Wednesday morning so we were able to be there while she recovered. She did GREAT and the mass was not cancer. Needless to say, everyone was thrilled with the results and the best part was, she felt just fine the very next day. So, we took advantage of Nana being out of school and did some serious playing at her house! Ella Kate LOVES being outside and Nana and Pop have all sorts of fun things for her to play with. She rode all over the place in several cars and sorted dinosaurs and trains for HOURS!!! She had a blast and so did Mrs. Mary Anna and I as we just got to visit.

Ella Kate is obsessed with her shadow. As soon as she sees it, she laughs like a crazy person and waves and blows it kisses. Too funny!

Saturday was Homecoming at State, so Ella Kate and I went to the DG house early that morning to meet my parents and Haley for a brunch. The decorations were GORGEOUS and the food was delicious!
Ella Kate really loved the big Bully outside of the DG house. It was a little bit hard to get a picture with all the pointing and "woofing."
Haley and her little anchor baby.
It was so nice to get to visit with Meaghan for a few minutes at the brunch and that Mary Reeves is a doll!!!
When we got to the stadium, we ran in to some people from church so we were visiting by the concession stand. Well, Ella Kate started pointing at the doors, barking and saying "dog" because she wanted to go in to the stands so badly. Bless her heart, she loves her Bulldogs!!!
She was once again GREAT during the game and loved hearing the drumline play pregame. She danced and cheered and waved her pom pom like a pro.
Kay Kay found the bakery cart by the concession stand and we just had to get our little Bulldog a dog bone cookie. Who knew they would have the HUGE ones!!!! EK loved it, of course!
I leave you with my sleeping angel. The game was so boring that she just had to sleep through almost all of the second half. I can not blame her! The game was pretty sloppy and ugly, but a win is a win and WE ARE GOING BOWLING!!!! HAIL STATE!!!!

Cotton Pickin

Somehow in my pumpkin post, I missed these pictures from the cotton field. Ella Kate picked a handful of cotton and then proceeded to try and eat it. J got it out and it really ticked EK off!!! She is quite the drama queen!!!!!"Look what I found over here..."
"It looks quite delicious..."
"Just terrible!!! My mommy and daddy are so mean to take away my snack!!!"

The little diva was not happy about getting her treasure taken away!! You can see her top teeth really well in this picture though...since she is finally getting some teeth.

Punkins

We headed to Mitchell Farms this morning for some punkin pickin. This place was really incredible! They had pumpkins (of course), sunflowers, a corn bin, a covered wagon ride around the farm, fire truck, tractors, and so on. My mom and dad met us this morning and we had a great time!!! I took over 400 pictures, so here are some of my favorites....sorry it is so many!!! Happy Fall Y'all!!!!

"Which one should I pick????"
"I will take this one!"
They had a barn with lots of animals. Ella Kate was especially fond of the ducks. She talked to them and quacked at them until we made her move on to something else.

G and Kay Kay, thanks for hanging out with us!!!

This was such a fun way to spend our day! Now, if only the dawgs could pull out a win!!!!

Tonight was a PERFECT night for football! It felt SUPER outside and the Warriors pulled out a big win!!! Ella Kate had a fun time because we sat with Scot (our associate pastor) and Leigh Ann Jones and their boys...EK LOVES Parker, Peyton, and Patrick!!!!

This is how Ella Kate spent most of her night...playing on the iphone with Patrick. She loves him and he loves her. Too cute!

I Dream of....Haley?????

The Heritage UMC youth fall retreat was this weekend. J and I, along with about 75 students headed to Camp Wesley Pines for an incredible time of worship, fellowship, yummy food, and fun. Ella Kate got to spend the weekend with mom, dad and Haley. She had a BLAST and didn't miss us at all! Haley was home for fall break so she kept Ella Kate quite entertained!!! One night, Haley decided she wanted to dress Ella Kate up in some of our old costumes....this turned in to a fashion show by Haley instead!!! Anyway, it was HILARIOUS to see Haley in all of my old prom/homecoming dresses as well as several dresses that were worn by Jordan, twirling outfits, cheerleading suits, etc. Here are just a few pictures from the "fashion show." There will be more to come...probably on Haley's birthday!!!!Why oh why do we have this outfit??? I think it actually was worn by Jordan at one point...I know I never wore it!!! I think Haley can pull it off though!!!
Haley and EK in some twirling gear. Sadly, we couldn't find any batons to complete the look.

Ella Kate was working on her heel stretch in her second costume. I think she is about ready for the dance kick line!!!!
My little pumpkin....this was my outfit when I was about 6, so needless to say the bubble was a very long dress, but I think she is pretty cute!!!!

Thank you soooooooo much Kay Kay, G and Haley for letting Ella Kate play with y'all this weekend!!! I know she had a great time!!!

Nana and Pop

J's parents came down this weekend and we had a nice visit! A SUPER HUGE THANK YOU to the Nelsons for FIRST driving to Jackson to mow and clean up our yard at our house there AND THEN driving to Hattiesburg to do our yard here!!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

Hburg Zoo

J has Friday's off at the church so we took advantage and headed to the Hattiesburg Zoo. I LOVE any zoo and this one was the perfect size for Ella Kate to run around and play. They do not have as many animals as some other zoos, but for a zoo in Hattiesburg, I was very impressed. Ella Kate had such a fun time!!

Since every day is a photo shoot for Miss Ella Kate, it was great that we happened upon the perfect spot at the zoo.

Warriors Win

Friday night, we headed to the Oak Grove vs Natchez game. The weather was perfect for football and it was great to get to see the Warriors win! It was also quite entertaining to see the Natchez band and "dancers"...let's just say, it was an experience!!!
Thank you Mamaw for making EK her game day dress!
