Dance, Dance, Dance!

EK had a weekend filled with all things dance! She and my parents went to Memphis on Friday and Saturday to see Riverdance. I'm not even sure how EK learned of Riverdance but she is a big fan and even has her own version that she loves to showcase. She loves watching YouTube videos so seeing the real thing in action was a very exciting notion for my little dancing queen.

They did some sight seeing around town before the show and EK loved documenting everything with my old camera.

She thoroughly enjoyed  the performance but said the opera singer was unnecessary.  Kids are brutally honest! Thanks to Kay Kay and G for such a fun experience for Miss EK!
On Sunday, EK and I went to the production of Cinderella by her dance studio. It was probably my favorite of all the shows I have seen them do. So entertaining and so well done!  EK is beyond tickled that she will get to be a part of the summer intensive 2 week camp this summer and audition for the ballet company as well.  She can not wait to be a part of these amazing shows!

Spring Break and Sick Germs😷

J spent the first little bit of spring break in Steamboat so we did our best to stay busy and fill our days  with fun. We love the Natural Science Museum!

Right after this picture was taken, we went into the theater for a live animal meet and greet. Emma climbed into my lap and started acting puny. I assumed she was just tired. Nope. By the time we got home, her temp was 102 and she felt pretty stinky. After a visit to Dr. C, we found out it was an ear infection and the fun news that her tubes have come out. Good thing she already has an appointment this coming week with the ENT, bc cleft babies need those tubes to avoid more ear infections. She did rally quickly after getting her meds, thankfully!

EK attended a sewing camp for a couple of days. She is obsessed with sewing and loves her weekly lessons so we knew this camp would be a huge hit.
She made a bunny and a flower pillow.

We went to see the Lego Batman movie and the kids seemed to really enjoy it.
Our week rounded out with a quick trip to Columbus to celebrate Nana's birthday! We loved getting to visit and the kids were thrilled to give Nana the gift they made her (hint, hint...it's the Easter door hanger that they painted😉)
We had a wonderful week and it was hard to get back in the swing of school and work. It didn't help that Walker and I both ended up at the doctors offices this week!  We are ready for a break from the antibiotics!!!

this and that

We have a sweet friend that is Jackson's number one fan. He invited us to the Jackson Light Show event downtown a couple of weeks ago. We had no idea what that meant but our night was free so we went to see what we could see. There were a lot of STEM activities, food trucks, and cool light displays and the kids had a blast!

Silhouettes seem so southern and classic to me, so when I saw a local shop was bringing in an artist, I knew I just had to have the kids' done. It was amazing to watch him work and I'm obsessed with the final products!

Walker got to show his artistic skills at his friend's birthday party. He is so proud of his raccoon!

It's been a busy birthday season!
Pump it up parties are a favorite!
These two are the very best friends. Love these pics of my little Irish twins!

Walker is so excited that tball has finally started. He has a bunch of little buddies on his team and I just don't think there is much cuter than a little guy in his baseball gear! It's should be a fun (or maybe just funny) season!
Some of my favorite ladies and I attended the Created for Care retreat for adoptive and foster moms. The weekend is one that I always look forward to as a time to connect, learn and just breathe. Our weekend did not disappoint and I'm so grateful to have these friends to journey through this crazy parenting gig alongside.

It's spring break week! Hallelujah!  Our week is going to be pretty low key which is alright with me!
