Social Butterfly

Ella Kate has been a very busy little girl! This weekend we went to Columbus/Starkville/Amory. Ella Kate got to experience her first baseball game at Dudy Noble on Friday night...sadly, I did not get a picture as we were huddled up under our blanket trying to fight the wind. On Saturday morning, we headed to Amory to see Mamaw Jones. My parents and Haley also came up so Ella Kate was a very happy camper!
EK getting some love from Aunt Hey Hey!
On Sunday, we had a great lunch with some sweet friends. We picked up Newk's and headed to our house since there were no tables big enough for 3 high chairs!!! This is Ella Kate's buddy Jack Lee. Jack's mommy Sarah and I get to share so much since we were pregnant at the same time and had our babies 10 days apart. It is so great to have somebody to talk to that is going through the same things as me!!!!
We were super excited for Adalynn Gormong to come back to Mississippi this weekend too!!! Adalynn's daddy was in seminary with J and we love getting to hang out with Philip and Kara!!! They have moved to Indiana to begin the process of raising their support to serve as missionaries to Russia. Yeah that they were in Jackson for a few days so we could meet their sweet baby girl! It was such a fun time to see all the babies playing together!!!!
Today we went by to see my Mamaw. She is doing GREAT and we hope to get her back to her apartment in the next few weeks. She did get in trouble in therapy today for getting up and walking across the room without assistance to visit with one of the priests. Way to go Mamaw!!!
Two of my mom's sisters were in town as well. It was great to get to see both of them and Ella Kate really had a fun time. What a busy few days!!!!

Ella Kate is 9 Months Old!

Happy 9 months Ella Kate!!!!

My Mamaw made this Easter Bunny dress for Ella Kate using an outfit of J's. She took out the smocked panel from his little jon jon and made it into this sweet little dress. Thank you Mamaw!!!!

Spring Break

We have been busy little bees around here! My Mamaw Porter had surgery 2 weeks ago and she is now back at home recovering. She did SUPER and will hopefully be 100% very soon...she has some sewing to do!!! Just kidding Mamaw =) My aunts were all in town so that was fun to get to see them!
Also, Jordan came home for her Spring Break and it was AWESOME to get to hang out with her. Hopefully she will get to work in Jackson this summer so we can see her ALL THE TIME!!!! We miss you already Jo!!!!!!
We headed to Columbus on Thursday to spend some time with the Nelsons. Before we left, Ella Kate started running fever. NO FUN!!! We saw our doctor Pam on Friday and everything looked fine and it was just a fever virus....a fever virus that lasted 5 days! After EK became fever free, she started the whole coughing and runny nose goodness along with some throwing up...I mean...AWESOME!!!! We headed back to the doctor yesterday to discover a double ear infection....EVEN MORE AWESOME!!!! So now we are full of 2 different anitbiotics which will hopefully make us all well. So, back to Columbus...while we were there, J's brother Ren and his family came down. It was great to see the boys and this is best group shot that I could get...and I took a TON!!!!! Also, J's mom and I hit the jack pot at Fashion Apparel and found a bunch of precious clothes for Ella Kate!!! Thanks Mrs. Mary Anna!!!!!

Now that Spring Break is coming to an end...I need a VACATION!!!!!

Happy Birthday Nana

Happy Birthday Nana! We hope you have a great day! We love you!

Ride for Orphans

And they're off!!! Today was incredible!!!! The Wesley Chapel Guatemala Missions Team along with the help of some amazing cyclists pulled off a FABULOUS bike ride to benefit the student ministry missions trip to La Senda orphanage in Guatemala. God totally showed up in a major way...not that I ever doubted that He would!!!! The day was gorgeous and we had a wonderful turn out! 79 riders took part in the ride. There was a 10 mile fun ride, a 25 mile, and a 62 mile course. The majority of the riders did the 62 mile course which is just amazing to me because they finished in less than 3 hours!!! They were FLYING!!! Everyone was so generous and friendly and it was just a super fun time to be with some new friends. Please continue to pray for the missions team as they raise support and prepare to minister to the precious children of Guatemala.

Our precious cheerleaders!!! Aren't they adorable??? Taylor, Clayton, Cody, Tori and Chloe all go to Wesley Chapel. They brought their bikes and rode around the parking lot for a bit then they cheered for each rider as they came back from the course. It was absolutely precious and I know it was a special treat to all the riders!
Meredith, Madison, Morgan and Katie are part of the missions team. They were AWESOME today and we are excited to see how God will use them in the lives of the sweet children at La Senda. Also, you probably can't see what is on their shirts, but it says "Do Justice, Love Mercy, Walk Humbly" The shirts are super cute (and soft) and it is another one of our fundraisers. If you would like to buy one for $12 just let me know!!! Sorry for the fundraising plug, but it is my blog and I can do it if I want to!!!!

Also a SUPER HUGE THANK YOU to Kay Kay and Big G for keeping Ella Kate last night and today while we were busy with the ride!!! Words can not express how much we appreciate y'all keeping her!!! I know she had a super time....she wasn't as happy once I got her home...Big G, did you give her ice cream????
