Let's Pretend at the Preschool

Friday should have been renamed Fri-CRAY because the combination of costumes and a ridiculous amount of sugary treats made for a crazy day at the preschool! Good thing these kids are so cute...it almost makes up for the amount of crazy!

Introducing Fireman Walker
And Dr. Emma (she wears pink scrubs like Dr. Addison Montgomery Shepherd😉. I ❤️ Grey's!)
J and I took turns popping in on the parties since I had to be responsible for my own class as well. We looked like chickens with our heads cut off bouncing around the preschool!

W and Em loved every minute of Friday and they are pumped to trick or treat in their other costumes tonight!

Life Lately

October is always wild for our family. On top of the field trips and all the pumpkin patches, it seems everyone we know has a birthday in October! We have had the best time celebrating our sweet friends this month! Here are a few snaps from just a couple of the parties we have attended so far this month. Only 3 more to go!!!!

Walker had farm day at preschool. He loved every minute of playing games and petting all the animals.

It just makes me smile when I see pictures of my kids at school. EK is thriving and I'm so thankful for that!
Our church hosted an "All In" Sunday where we take the church to the streets and serve our community. One of my d group girls had the idea to have a free car wash in our church parking lot and hand out baked goods with bible verses attached. The kids and I helped and it was a great time of fellowship and service.
We had a little bit of fall weather for a day or two, so we enjoyed a little extra time outside. (Must have been a Friday by the looks of these two pictures #MaroonFriday)

When mama is in charge of the fall fun day at preschool, you are forced to pose with the decorations before school.
Sweet friends at the pep rally one week.
EK completed another sewing project and she is so proud of her work. It's super cute!!!
I guess that about catches us up with things! Happy Thursday!

Field Trip Fun

Our pumpkin patch adventures continued this week as EK and W both had field trips to patches around town. EK was up first!

There is not much sweeter than these little friends together. They are the best!!!
I had the best time hanging out with my big girl despite the mid 90s temps, the crazy amount of dust thanks to no rain in a sweet forever, and my allergies to all things outdoors!!!!

Searching for the perfect pumpkin!
Found it!!!
The hay ride dropped us off at the patch and after making their selections, the kids got to hang out in a little playgrounds area.  The swing was a huge hit!
We love, love, love Mrs. Mann. EK is having a fabulous year with this precious lady!!!
The next day was Walker's trip to the Ag Museum. J went along for the fun with W. The boys had a great time together!
Little buddies!  I wish you could hear these boys together. They are hysterical!
4 year old boys are not so interested in posing for pictures!!!!!
Emma's class doesn't get to go on field trips, so here is a picture of her on the playground. Wouldn't want to leave her out of the post!!! Happy Fall!!!

Mitchell Farms 2016

It's not really fall until the Nelsons go to Mitchell Farms.  It's developed into one of our traditions. So on Saturday, that's exactly what we did. We woke up way too early, missed College Gameday, took our cooler full of snacks and headed south down Highway 49 in search of pumpkins, a corn maze, tractors, train rides & yet another thing that just feels like Mississippi. We took way too many pictures and I love them all too much not to share, so bare with me!

See what I mean? We had an amazing day together but maybe next year it will actually  FEEL LIKE FALL!!!!! Either way, we will see you next year Mitchell Farms!!
