Life Lately

Is anyone else exhausted from all the back to school festivities?!?? We have been here, there and everywhere over the last couple of weeks. Here's a little recap...

Haley and Robert bought a house! Yay!!!!  My kids are obsessed with helping them get their things settled and have LOTS of decorating ideas! They are so excited to have spend the night parties after Haley moves in after the wedding.
Walker ran by to see Pop's football team and got to meet the Falcon.
One of our students snapped this shot of the baby girl at the jr high game.
Walker gets to hang out with me on Mondays for stay and play at school. It's so fun to get to see him in his preschool element.
He also has learned to work his car seat buckle!  Whoop, whoop!  Now we are down to one child needing assistance!!!  It's a good day!!
Emma had a big time at the JA pep rally with her daddy and our awesome students.
We checked out the MRA jr high pep rally one day as well. So fun to see some of my d group girls doing their thing.
EK's teacher is amazing to send us pictures of her during the day. EK even had her moment in the spotlight in the newspaper last week!
J joined EK for a little lunch date. EK was tickled to have her daddy with her!
Walker got to go to his buddy Robert's birthday party. It was fire truck themed which is a win in Walker's book.
Sweet sisters.
Meaghan sent me these precious pics from Mamie's airport celebration that their photographer snapped. They are some of my favs for sure!!

Tomorrow is September!!!  I can't even believe it!!

Walker's Bible Presentation

Our church celebrates "Milestone Years" during the time kids are a part of our Children's Ministry. Today was Bible Presentation for all the 3 year olds as they enter the Preschool Ministry at the church.
Walker was beyond thrilled to receive his new Bible.
He has said "I love my new Bible" no less than 50 times today. He even napped with it!
So proud!
Sissy thinks that any time the camera is out, we should take pictures of her. So, I do.
Now the whole crew. I wish I knew how to use photoshop so I could fix Walker's socks! He hates his knee socks and pushes them down as soon as he is out of my sight. Little stinker!
Love these girls!
We loved having Kay Kay and G at church with us today!
We are also excited that Hunter Sykes has moved here for college so we will get to see him more often. Walker ran to Hunter to hug him when he saw him in church. He pretty much thinks Hunter hung the moon!
Emma drops me like a bad habit when Kay Kay is around and I don't blame her!
My bunch is always happy when they get to play with Uncle Robert and Aunt Haley!
Walker wanted EK to read to him immediately after he got his Bible. There is just not much sweeter than this!

Ready For Some Football!

We were all excited to meet the Dawgs yesterday at Fan Day!!
Luckily, daddy got us the early entry passes so we were able to get inside (to the AC, whoop whoop) before the reported 7500+ people waiting outside. Good call G, good call!!! Some sweet students were taking pictures and snagged this one of G and EK. They ended up on the football FB page!!!
Our first order of business was to get in line to meet Dak Prescott!
We waited a bit because although we got in the building early, the players were not yet there. We passed the time by taking pictures, drawing, and dancing.
All this little boy wanted to do was to meet Dak!
EK drew him a picture while we waited. She added "Ella Kate loves Dak" after I took this picture. Sweet girl.
This was Emma's reaction to the cowbells!
Finally!!! We met Dak! Walker wanted to tell him about starting preschool! Bless him.
This one is from the FB page too!  My people are so famous!
He was so precious when EK gave him her picture!
I just think he is a doll!
(This one is from the FB page too)
So excited!
We got to visit with Bully which is always a treat!
And the inflatables were a huge hit as well!

Thanks Starkvegas for a fun filled day!!! (Please notice that Walker is posing like the guy in the picture. Hilarious!)

Our Week

We survived our first full week of school!!!  Woo Hoo!!  It was a really good week...exhausting and jammed packed but good nonetheless. EK's teacher sent some snaps from their week. EK is LOVING first grade! The special classes have been her favorite (who can blame her) and she is so enjoying her sweet teacher and friends.
She started ballet again this week and she was thrilled because her BFF Sienna is in her class too!
It's fall so that means it's time to make the rounds for jr high and high school football. We went to the MRA vs Prep jr high game on Thursday. I think a game took place. I'm not positive though because three kids means three wild things going in three different directions!!! They loved running around though!
We spent a few minutes in the Golden Triangle and celebrated Pop's birthday a little early which was great. Cake for breakfast??? Yes, please!!!
We stopped by the Gordon's house to play a minute after we did Fan Day at State. Those are some sweaty, dirty kids but they sure are cute!!!
It's nap time at our house right now. Time to gear up for another week!!

Walker's First Day of School

Walker started 3 year old preschool this week and he has loved every minute of it!  His favorite thing to do is play with the sand table and play on the playground.  Ms Ashley sure is a brave woman for having a sand table!!! He adores "Ms Ash-A-Wee!"
His room is right next door to mine.  It is fun to get to sneak a peek at him as they pass by my room!

I love that all the teachers send out pictures from throughout each day. It's always so sweet to get to see what they have been up to and to see how much fun they are having!
As a teacher, making a poster like this one is always a highlight!  Walker's favorite part of summer...eating at our house. Living the dream!

Thanks to school, we are all worn out so it's an early bedtime for all!
