Columbus Christmas

We made it to Columbus on Christmas afternoon.  The kids napped in the car and were ready to open some presents the second they walked in the door!
Too bad Walker's antibiotic made him have an accident in his precious Christmas pjs leaving him to wear not so festive ones....=(
Ella Kate and Gregory were buddies this visit.  They played so well together!
EK loves Sophia the First so she was super excited to get the whole royal family that she can add to her princess collection in her big castle.
And this guy...he was over the moon for his very own broom.  He still prefers the real broom if he sees it, but he is quite happy to take care of the sweeping with his little one.

Pop got him some hair for Christmas!!! He LOVES his new "hair hat!"

Everyone went in together to give Nana an iPad.  I think she was pleased with her gift!!
The next morning, the golf cart made lap after lap around the neighborhood.  Walker would ride all day long if someone would take him.
We had a wonderful time with all the Nelsons!!!

Christmas Morning in Madison

We spent Christmas morning in Madison with my family.
Our sister picture really missed Jordan this year, but she did FaceTime with us so that was a fun treat.
Wild Man had a fabulous time all morning!  He really loved the reindeer ears and eating lots and lots of candy canes.
He also kept cracking us up because he would sit down on the fireplace and put his arm around the Santa.  The more we laughed, the funnier it was to him and he started hamming it up for the camera!

Papaw was there to take in all the merriment.
Aunt Carolyn was there too.  We love to have everyone together!!!
Walker got a basketball goal from my parents.  He thinks it is awesome and grins so big when he slam dunks the ball.

EK is a pretty big fan as well.  She and Kay Kay had a game of HORSE going on and EK was victorious.  We are having to work on her "good winner" skills.  She is not very humble at this point.
 Then this happened.  Oops.
 Love my little stinkers!!!!

A happy little boy...and a happy Kay Kay too.

Our cousin Margie was in town to visit her mother so we got to visit with her as well.

Ella Kate needed some back up to care for all of her babies!  She is loving her new Bitty Twins that look like her and Emma.  She named them Milly and Molly to stick with the "M" theme she started with Mary Reeves.

We had a fabulous time in Madison and after lunch and changing back in to our pjs, we hit the road for the next round of festivities in Columbus.

Christmas Morning

Christmas morning started pretty early at our house! Ella Kate woke up and was so excited to see what she got.  Santa brings 4 gifts to our house....something you want, something you need, something to wear, and something to read and EK was so happy to see the Lalaloopsy Silly Hair that she had asked for even though Walker kept trying to steal it so he could brush the long hair.  She kept saying "this is just the best Christmas ever!"
I'm not really sure why anyone gives anything to Walker because all he wants to do is take whatever Ella Kate has at the time.  He did seem to like his new jacket's pockets.  (Gotta love that winter clearance sale after Christmas last year when I got a steal on the jackets!!!!)

Time to head to Madison for more Christmas fun with Kay Kay and G!!!!

The Night Before Christmas

Our church had 2 services for Christmas Eve so we went to the contemporary service and Mom, Dad and Haley joined us.  Before we left, I told the kids I wanted a picture in front of the tree.  Sweet little kiddos humored their crazy picture taking mama.
After I finished, I told them it was time to go.  Well, this little dude just kept standing there posing.  I asked him if he wanted a picture by himself and he said "uh huh!!!"  Little stinker!
Not to be outdone by brother, EK then needed a picture by herself.  I had to crop Walker out of this because he was doing his best to photo bomb her picture as well.
The candles sure were pretty and the service was fabulous.  Y'all the Vibe band is amazing!!! We are blessed with some really talented worship leaders and I seriously tear up every single service because worship is so powerful!
After church, we came back to our house for pancakes.  It's the traditional Jones family Christmas Eve meal.

After dinner, EK went to sprinkle her reindeer food in the yard.  It was extra sparkly this year!!!

We let EK open her present from us before she went to bed.  (Walker had already called it a night)
Kay Kay came through and brought us some cookies to leave for Santa since we didn't do any baking this year.  Oops.  Santa didn't seem to mind.  I mean, they were double stuffed golden oreos!!!!!
Next up....Christmas morning!

Papaw's Party

Papaw Porter turned 90 this week, so a celebration was in order.  We all met up at the Trace Grill for lunch and then we had cake and presents over at Papaw's apartment afterwards. We somehow forgot the candles for his cake, so a blinky Christmas necklace did the job while EK led the singing of the Birthday song.
Papaw adores his great grands...like a whole lot.  Once, my Mamaw told me that she "never knew such love and happiness until Ella Kate came along."  (She passed away before Walker came into the picture, but I am sure she would have felt the same way about him)  I think Papaw pretty much feels the same way.  He loves to watch them play and entertain for hours and they are pretty smitten with him as well.
Aunt Ellen and Uncle Allen were in town too which is always fun.  Somehow though, we missed a picture with Aunt Carolyn =(
Ella Kate sang a few of her songs from her school program and directed some singing also.  She gave strict instructions for the girls to sing one part and the boys were supposed to sing the other.  Only problem, no one knew the words!  I wish there was a video!
Walker was just happy to have cake!!!!  Too bad later that day we ended up at the after hours clinic for a breathing treatment.  Bummer!!!!
Happiest of birthdays Papaw!!!! We love you!!!!!  (and yes, that is Tabasco flavored chocolate.  That man loves Tabasco!!!!!)

The City of Lights

We ventured to "The City of Lights" on Friday.  While most people in the world would consider that to be Paris, here in central MS, Canton is known by that name....not quite as glamourous, but a fun time all the same!

The lights around the square are all so pretty and I knew my kids would LOVE it!! We of course had to have our pictures made in front of the light tree thing.

Haley was a good sport and took the kids on the train ride, car driving thing and the fire truck ride.

They had a parade with floats (4 trucks) and several characters.  It wasn't the Electric Lights Parade from Disney, but the kids seemed to enjoy it!

Not really sure when J and I had a picture of the 2 of us without our crew, so I thought I would include one =)
Walker's favorite part of the whole evening was the carriage ride.  He LOVED the horses and would really have preferred to ride on the actual horse as opposed to the carriage.  He waved, clapped, laughed and said "Neigh Neigh" the whole time.
Such a great night and such a fun Christmas tradition!!!!
