Only in Mississippi....

Only in Mississippi is it 60 degrees one day, snow the next, and then go right back up to 70 degrees.  Really Mother Nature???

Before I get to the pictures of our snow, I wanted to give a little update on our adoption t-shirt fundraiser.  As of this morning, we have sold 83 shirts to help bring Emma home!!! WOOO HOO!!! Thank you to everyone who pre-ordered a shirt. We can't wait to see our friends sporting their "Choose Love" shirts!!! We will be placing our order on Friday, so if you have not ordered a shirt and you want one, comment on this blog post, email me at wesleyclaire@yahoo.com, or use the paypal button on the sidebar to the right.  Thank you for all your support!!!!
We woke up to snow! It was so pretty to watch it through the window and after layering up, we went outside with Ella Kate. (Walker decided to sleep late)

After Walker woke up, he wanted in on the action as well. So, we bundled up again and went out for a few minutes.  I DO NOT KNOW how people do it in places where it is cold all the time!!! I can not imagine going through all that trouble every time we would need to leave the house.  So very thankful to be where I am!!!!

Walker refused to wear his gloves, so our little playtime was short lived.  Now that we have had our winter, bring on spring!!!!!!

#BringEmmaHome Tshirt Sale

All of our paperwork is complete and submitted so we are now just waiting to see a picture of our Emma!!!!!! This means we are getting close to traveling to China and we need your help!  We are selling tshirts to help with our in country expenses (orphanage fees, legal fees, travel, etc).

We are taking pre-orders for the rest of January, and we'll be placing our order on Friday, January 31st. Expect delivery mid-February.

The design is printed on the front of the shirt and a huge shout out to Sarah Largen for the design and Drew Chapman at Threads Screen Printing and Embroidery for printing these for us!!!!

The adult shirts are softwashed shirts in gray (the design background color). Adults sizes S-XXXL are $20. Kids shirts are $15 and come in YS-YL.

So how do you order? Please email wesleyclaire@yahoo.com or comment on this post. You can pay through PayPal on the sidebar (Please make sure your shipping address is correct, and include sizes needed, shipping info, etc. in the comments section). If you prefer, I'll also give you our address to mail checks.

If you would like to read more about our adoption journey, you can check out our adoption blog orphantoours.blogspot.com

We appreciate everyone's support. Again, thank you all so much for helping us step out in faith! Our fundraising allows God to make Himself known through this process...it's MUCH too big for us to do alone! When we reach our goal, He'll obviously get all the glory! It also allows you to be part of our little girl's story and allows you to care for the orphan in your own way! Just think....all that from a T-shirt! :)

Rainy Day Ramblings

January seems to be zipping by at a rather speedy pace! We are so thankful to be back in school and in our routine!!! Last week was crazy cold!  It would have only been worth the trouble if we would have gotten a little bit of the powdery white stuff, but NOPE....we just froze.
At the beginning of the month, we took this large stack of paperwork....
stuffed it all in this envelop and sent it on it's way to global!  Our Dossier is being authenticated now and should be completed this week.  They will then submit it to the Chinese authorities and we will officially be waiting for a match.  Our organization does all referrals at the end of each month, so we will be receiving emails each month on the 30th saying either we did not get matched that
month, or we will be given a file to review that will hopefully be our perfect match!!!   WOO HOO!!!!
Some of the students from Hattiesburg came to stay with us one night.  They took EK ice skating and she loved it! She's a bit too young/small, but she didn't seem to mind.  They just all had to hold her up the whole time!

For anyone who knows my children, you know that I have some terribly picky eaters who prefer to only eat yogurt, fruit, cheese, and Chick Fil A.  Well, we have decided that this year, they will try new things.  First up, spaghetti.  Walker man LOVED it and EK ate what we made her.  She didn't love it, but I am just proud that she actually tried it.
The Nelsons came on Saturday and the kids were thrilled that the weather finally was warm enough to ride and play outside...in pajamas of course.
J and I went to Hburg to see our friend Taylor Parsons in Jr. Miss while the Nelsons kept the kids.  Taylor won for Lamar County! We had such a nice time watching her do her thing and also seeing so many of our precious Hburg friends.

And let's just take a minute for this!!!  I mean, congrats to the basketball team for beating TSUN on Saturday, but let's be real.....it is time for BASEBALL!!!!!  I am so excited for this year!!! The road to Omaha is about to begin!!!!

Here's to the New Year

What to do on the last day of 2013??? A trip to the Children's Museum was in order for my wild bunch.  Mom and Dad gave us passes for Christmas and we were super excited to take Walker for his first trip.  Ella Kate was so sweet to show him the ropes.  We had a fabulous time playing and in turn the kids took wonderful naps afterwards...a win win situation!!!!  We can't wait for many, many, many more trips this year!!!!

Our church hosted a New Year's Eve celebration for families last night.  We enjoyed some yummy food, silly games, and great fellowship with our friends.

2013 was a really great year!  The Lord has been so good and so faithful and provided amazing opportunities for our family.  We are excited for what is in store in 2014 and we are hopeful that we will finally bring home Emma this year!
