10 Months Old!

Happy 10 Months Ella Kate! We celebrated EK's "birthday" by going to Cock of the Walk for a yummy dinner with my parents and Haley. We were also celebrating the fact that Haley has finished her first year in college!!! YEAH Haley!!! She did AWESOME and we are super excited for her to be home for 3 months!!!! Now, if only Jordan would hurry up and get home!!! Jo, congrats on finishing all your finals!!! Good luck on your write-ons (whatever they are!) We love you and can't wait for you to get back to Mississippi!!!!!

Welcome home Aunt Haley!!!!
There were tons of ducks to feed. J got some old cornbread to give to these little guys. EK studied them very closely. I don't think she knew what to think!

SOMA Picnic

Yesterday afternoon we had a fabulous time with our SOMA group from church. It is made up of young married couples and singles. We had a picnic on the baseball field behind our church. It was a perfect afternoon for a picnic...just a little windy! We had yummy food and great fellowship. The kids seemed to have fun riding in the wagon and playing in the baby swimming pool. Thank you Marshall family for organizing everything!!!

Springtime...

This weather has been so nice...besides all the pollen....so we took advantage of the beautiful day and went to hang out in Ridgeland beside AJ's by the Lake. Here are just a few pictures from our playing.

A New Chair and a New Tooth!

J's parents found this precious chair in an antique shop in Columbus. They had it recovered and brought it to Ella Kate when they came for Easter. It turned out sooooo cute and Ella Kate LOVES it! My mom made an "E" pillow and matching throw to put in the chair and she also made a pillow for my glider and a new curtain. Thanks Nana and KayKay for making Ella Kate's room so fun and colorful!!!! I love it!!!!
"I love my chair! It makes me clap with excitement!"

Also, this is one of my favorite dresses in EK's closet. My sweet teacher friend Mrs. Bennett from Clinton gave me this precious little dress. It is made out of a vintage pillow case and tablecloth. It is tooooo cute!!!!!
And finally, Ella Kate has a tooth!! It only took 9 1/2 months to get to this point, but we have victory. That little white place on her gums would be the tooth. Teething is not so fun but EK now has a whole world of possibilities of things to eat with the help of this little guy!!!

Fun at the Zoo

Today was absolutely beautiful and was a great day to go to the zoo with my little monkey. Our friend Max Kingsbury was in town from Columbus for the day and he got to hang out with Ella Kate and me. We rode on the train, saw lots of critters, and yes, I even sweated a little bit! Here is our Zoo Crew...Ann Marie and Sam Blair, EK, and Max. Max's comment in the car: "There are a lot of babies in this van!" Yes Max, there were a lot of babies and let me just tell you, it is a challenge to keep everyone happy!!!!
Here is EK checking out the tigers. She was great today and I can't wait to take her back again!!! I LOVE the zoo!!!!!
The new tiger exhibit was AWESOME!!!! I mean, this is pretty stinking close to a tiger! They really did a great job with the new habitat and these tigers are HUGE!!!!

It was a great day with friends!!
