See ya, 2016!

It's been a really good week as we have closed out 2016. We grabbed a yummy lunch at Brent's with Jordan and Ross before they had to go back home. We introduced them to the amazingness that is Deep South Pops as well. We are so going to miss these 2!!!
We've been busy playing with all our fun new Christmas presents. EK worked for several hours to hand stitch a stuffed owl.
W has responded to many emergency calls with all his fire gear. Shocker.
Em and her babies have had a big time going on lots of picnics.
I'm not sure what it says about us, but J and I both gave each other house shoes this year without knowing the other was giving them. I guess after 11 years of marriage, our brains really are one?
We've been cheering hard for Dak!!! #FromCowbellsToCowboys
We went to see Moana. The kids loved it. I'm obsessed with the music! So good!
The kids got to meet cousin Moose and they absolutely adore him!
So now, it's time ring in the new year.  We are anxious to see what 2017 may bring!

Christmas in Madison

We spent Christmas Day with my parents, my sisters and their hubbies. We ate a super yummy brunch together, opened lots of fun gifts, played games, and really just enjoyed each other's company.
We took our yearly family snap in front of the fireplace. One day I'm going to dig out all the previous year's pics in this spot for a little comparison....one day.
My sweet sisters
A little group shot action thanks to the timer on my camera! So thankful for time together with these people!
A nice pic with Robert and Haley
That's a little more like it though. Everyone loves a crazy picture!
We all loved having Jordan, Ross and Zeke home for a few days!!
Lots and lots of fun was had by all at Kay Kay and G's house!
Robert has the patience of Job! Bless his sweet heart. He helped Walker build the Lego fire truck that Santa brought that morning.
So proud!
The girls worked on some crafting for a while.
In our spots and ready for presents!
What did you get, W???
Woo Hoo!!!! A Dak jersey!!!! Awesome!!!!
How fun are the mermaid tail blankets?!?!
Em loves her new baby Stella. She's such a good little mama!
W got a super cool new fire truck. He was really pumped when he was playing with it at home and realized the ladder would go up high enough for his toy firefighters to reach the top of his dresser. This has opened up a whole new world for him and his fire fighting capabilities.

New sleeping bags for the win! My kids love a pallet party so these sleeping bags just made our parties so much more fun!

This little boy is obsessed.

Vintage Merry Christmas cross stitching on her seat is about the cutest thing ever!
My kids asked Santa for snow for Christmas.  Well, the temps were in the mid-70s so we went with the next best thing! Haley had some left over confetti from her wedding so we made our own little winter wonderland!

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!!

Christmas Morning

The kiddos woke up bright and early on Christmas morning to check out their surprises.
EK asked for a Fitbit and books.
Walker wanted a new bike....
So did Emma.
Thanks to this lovely (hot) weather, the kids were able to check out their new toys in their pjs!

While the little 2 rode around a while, EK immediately got to work on her new Lego sets bc they must be assembled immediately!  She has spent every minute since then tracking her steps and reporting back to us thanks to her new Fitbit!😂😂😂

It's so fun to see the joy and excitement of Christmas through their eyes!

Family Festivities

Once we returned from Columbus, our celebrations continued because Jordan, Ross and Zeke got into town!!! We met up at a park near Haley and Robert's house to play and let Zeke run around after the long drive.
Poor Zeke! He has put up with a lot of this over the last few days!

Again, poor Zeke!😂😂😂
After the park, we made our way to Haley and Robert's for dinner and a few games.

The next day, we ate lunch at Mugshots and then hung out at our house for a bit before going to the Christmas Eve service together.

Lots and lots of games have been played during this holiday season!!!

My children are going to be so sad when everyone goes back home and the only people in the house are their boring parents!!! They have had the best time and have LOVED all the attention!
