Fall Break surprise

We kept a very big secret from the kids! Haley, Robert and Jordan all surprised the kids during fall break with a visit and the kids about lost their minds they were so happy! Haley got in to town first and met us for dinner at Primos.

She got to hang out with us at school a good.

We went to the homecoming pep rally and game together.
EK was thrilled to see Mae on the homecoming court. She is a soloist in the senior company at EKs studio. It was like she met a movie star!
W's little buddy was the crown bearer. He is a doll!
Haley checked the little two out of school a little early one day for a park and ice cream date.
They grabbed more ice cream after W's baseball game.
Jordan and Robert  came in to town a couple days later and we had the best time with them. They were able to read to Emma's class and do a special snack.
Happiest little girl!
The party continued in the dining commons with EK for lunch.
Haley and Robert left to go to his parents for a few days but Jordan was still in town for a few more days. We had a sleepover with her and had a blast! Games, movies, pizza, what more could you want?
What a gift our time was with Jo, Haley and Robert!  We are all counting down the days until Christmas break when they will all (plus Ross and all the dogs) be back for Christmas!

Fall is Busy

EK received her 4th grade bible at church. She is so proud of her grown up Bible!
Emma lost her first tooth!  It had been hanging on for a while and the permanent one was already completely in but she refused to let us near it. It finally just fell out all by itself. The second one fell out just a few days later but she swallowed it at school😳
Kay Kay had a birthday and we loved celebrating her special day!
Dinner out is even more fun when you run in to your best friend!
W and G did some fishing. W insists on the life jacket. One can never be too safe in a foot of water!😂
EK is loving her new artwork from our dear friend and former student Taylor. It makes me smile every time I see it. The way that  our "big kids"  love on our little kids is really special.
October is our busiest birthday party month of the year. I don't have pictures from all of them but trust me, there were a lot of friends born in October!

Our football team had a wonderful season. We beat Prep in the regular season which has only happened a handful of times. Sadly, we lost to them in the championship game. It was still super exciting to cheer them on this fall.
It was world adoption day at the beginning of November.  I can't imagine life nor do I want to imagine what our life would look like if we had not said yes to adoption.

Pop's 70th Birthday

We had the best time celebrating J's daddy's 70th birthday back in a August. J's brother and his family hosted a fabulous party at their home. The kids enjoyed being together and had way too much fun playing in the pool. It's always a treat to have so much of the family together and it's was just the icing on the cake to celebrate our sweet Pop!
