Birthday Celebration in Atlanta

Ella Kate asked to go on a special adventure this year for her birthday to Atlanta instead of having a birthday party. She had two specific requests...a trip to the American Girl store and a visit to the aquarium. We love the idea of sharing experiences together and making memories, so we felt like this would be the perfect get away for our crew.

The kids were so excited to get to stay in a hotel for a few days. They loved checking out the waterfalls, swimming pool, and the snacks that were provided in the lobby.

I mean, why wouldn't you jump on the bed?!

We were super close to a great mall, so we enjoyed some play time on the carousel.
The mall had a train that roamed around as well. So fun.

We all enjoyed the Cheescake Factory. So good!

While J and I took the big two to the aquarium, mom and dad played with Emma. They went back to the mall for more carousel rides and food court entertainment.
EK and I took a ride on the SkyView Ferris Wheel. I'm going to be honest, a 20 story tall ride is not normally my thing, but if you must ride on one, an air conditioned, enclosed, spacious, snack filled little pod is the way to go!

We played some games...
Watched the iPad...
And read some books. It was a pretty amazing time.
While Mom, EK and I were busy at the American Girl store, J and Daddy took W and Em to play at Chuck E Cheese's. They had a big time!

Our Atlanta birthday celebration was a success!!
