Christmas in Madison

We spent Christmas Day in Madison with my family.  The weather was less than ideal, but luckily the terrible storms stayed away!
Apples to Apples is a must for our family.  Ella Kate wanted to play and was quite confident in her skills because she kept saying, "I'm going to beat all y'all.  I'm going to win, win, win!"

We LOVE getting to visit with Papaw and I think Papaw loved getting to watch Ella Kate ride on her new bike and Walker crawl around and pull up on everything!

Ella Kate had fun playing with all her aunts!!
Woo Hoo!!! It's a princess bike!!!! Thanks to the nasty rain, the downstairs became a bike track.  Ella Kate made at least 100 laps around the house yesterday!!!
 G and his princess
We had a little entertainment from Haley and J....and yes, there is a video =)

 Walker loves his aunts too!

I so love getting to see my sisters!
Walker really had a big time getting in to all of the tissue paper.
Yeah for the Princess Barbie dolls! And thank you to Aunt Haley for super gluing all the shoes to their feet so we don't lose them!!!!!!

Mary Reeves can now dress for ballet with EK thanks to Jordan!!!
A little jam session with Daddy
We had a fabulous day!!!! Merry Christmas!!!!

Christmas Morning

Ella Kate's asked for several specific items this year including a barber shop (no idea where this came from), a doll that looked like her, a bike, and princess barbies.  Santa took care of bringing the barber shop and doll and she was quite tickled!!!
EK and I have been discussing baby doll names for a while to hopefully help her make a better selection than her choice of Baby America last year.  She came up with many good names, but when I asked her the baby's name that morning, she immediately responded with "her name is Mary Reeves just like my best friend.  I just love that name!"  So, Mary Reeves it is!!! And boy does she love her!!!!
We all received fresh new do's and makeup from the Sleeping Beauty barber.

Walker had a big time as well on his new riding/walk behind toy with his cute little hat.
Merry Christmas!!!!

A Columbus Christmas

We spent the weekend in Columbus visiting with the Nelsons.  We had a fun time despite the fact that Ella Kate ended up with strep and an ear infection....BLAH!!!! At least we were in town so we could just drive over to Aunt Pam's house for a little check up!!!!
 She looks sick, doesn't she!!!!

Walker really liked getting in to all the presents.  He may have eaten a few pieces of wrapping paper and tissue paper...oops!!! I didn't do a very good job at all of documenting our time with the cousins though due to the 102 degree fever EK was running all day Saturday, but they all had a blast playing together and it is always nice to get to catch up with everyone!!!!

Cookies in Columbus

One of Ella Kate's favorite activities is cooking.  This child LOVES to cook!!! J's Aunt Betty is so sweet to EK and for the last 3 years, she has helped EK make some yummy Christmas cookies.

Thank you so much Aunt Betty!!!

Twinkle Toes

Ella Kate's dance class had a parent observation day last week before their Christmas party.  I was so excited to get to watch my little ballerina in action.  Afterwards, J said he and Walker needed to go do something manly after being with all the pink tutus.  =)

This Little Light of Mine

Ella Kate loves the stage... with the exception of the 2 year old preschool program meltdown last year!! Yesterday morning, the children's ministry put on a little performance in both services at church. They did a great job and my sweet girl was just so precious up on stage.
The kids each painted their own candle shirts and I loved how unique each one looked.

I think that EK's favorite part was seeing herself on the big screens.  She just kept watching the screens and would grin so big.
It just melts my heart to see Ella Kate singing (rather off key) her sweet praises to the Lord.  We are so blessed!!
