Nutcracker 2016

After 3 months of weekend rehearsals on top of normal class time, the weekend for the Nutcracker finally arrived. To say the Ella Kate was beyond excited and completely in her element would be the understatement of the year.
EK was an angel in the opening number of the second act. I was so impressed with the level of talent and professionalism in the whole ballet company. It truly was an excellent production and all the time and energy put in to the show was evident.

Y'all...there are no words to adequately express how grateful we are for the tribe that came to watch our girl. Her part was seriously 1 minute in a 2 hour production but as Bethany said, "to her, that 1 minute is a thousand so that is why we are here."  EK truly felt as though she was the most important person on the stage because this crew made her feel so loved and important. For that and so many more reasons, I am humbled and so thankful!
The smile on her face as she took the stage was priceless and I foresee many, many more Nutcracker performances in our future (so sorry about that to all the men in our family who NEVER expected to be sitting in a ballet during the Army vs Navy football game😳....y'all are awesome!")  And seriously, how amazing was the fresh flowers Hawaiin lei Aunt Carolyn had sent from her Hawaiin adventure. So cool!! Who's ready for the recital?!?!?!?!
