Christmas in Columbus

We so enjoyed spending a few days in Columbus with the Nelsons. We ate a lot of food, visited the fire station countless times, put some miles on the golf cart, played on the iPad a ton, and just had a great time together.

W was thrilled to happen upon a police officer who was giving out fun treats from the police department. What a neat outreach the department does each year where they pass out toys to children around town! W even brought toys home for his sisters!

These 3 tried really hard to be patient while waiting on their cousins to arrive. It was REALLY hard!
Yay!!! We love when everyone is together!

We ate a delicious steak dinner and opened lots of presents. Walker was beyond pumped to get the "breathing apparatus" to complete his gear. (Oops. I did not do a good job of documenting the present opening portion of our time so this is the only picture I got😳)
Lee Lee helped the kids bake and decorate Christmas cookies.  Yummy and messy!!!
We did a little pj light night tour of Columbus. (Disclaimer...all photos were snapped while the van was in park. Everyone was buckled and safe when we were moving!😉)
Emma's best friend for our visit was Ren. She did not leave his side!!!
As luck would have it, the Columbus fire fighters were doing some practice around town and they invited Walker to come and watch as they burned and then put out several fires. These people are so precious to my future fire fighter!!! (And a huge shout out to Pop for spending many hours sitting and watching these fires as well!)
We made a quick stop by the Sykes house for a little gift opening and visit before heading home. It's always good to spend time with these sweet friends.

It was a really good few days!!!
