Christmas Train

Mary Anna happened upon some information about a Christmas train in Columbia. It was the first year for the event so we didn't really know what to expect but we were excited to try it out anyway.

Jumpies are always a hit with my kids.  We got to the event right when it opened in hopes of avoiding the crowds that we read about.  This turned out to be a good call!!! There were just a few other people there so we were able to play before our train time.  It was great!

They had pony rides and a petting zoo as well.

EK was so funny with the goat.  She was talking to him and petting him until....
She thought he was going to chase her and she sprinted away as fast as she could! Baby, he's tied to the fence😉

Walker loved all the animals too.

We got to our places on the train and then set out on our first real train ride.  The Christmas story played over the speakers and there was a light show as well.  They loved it.

We also rode on the wagon ride.  The weather was really nice and it was great to just be together.

We saw Santa but Walker wanted no part of it and pitched quite the fit. I was so frazzled and couldn't think clearly enough to say "just take Ella Kate's picture with Santa" so we got nothing. Bummer. With a small amount of bribery, we did get a picture to document our last Friday as a family of 4!!! So thankful to the Nelsons for such a precious time with these sweet people.
