All Aboard The Polar Express!

The Nelsons treated us to a North Pole adventure on the Polar Express. The train made a stop in Batesville, so we were all excited to continue our family Christmas celebration so close to Ren and Lee Ellen's house.
To say these little people were ecstatic would be the understatement of the year.
EK thinks her cousins hung the moon!
Emma was attached to Nana's hip all day.
Waiting to load...
Yay!  Time to board the train.
All settled in our places and ready for our hot chocolate and cookies!
Emma made herself quite comfy in the big chairs.
We listened to the Polar Express story
And enjoyed the yummy snacks.
There was a lot of dancing and singing.
Walker even joined in the dance line that paraded around our train car.
We finally made it to the North Pole and Walker was literally jumping up and down in the seats and then in the aisles.
There it is!  We could see Santa and his elves waving!!!
The conductor came by to punch our tickets.
My oh so observant children asked the conductor who was driving the train since she was with us in the car. Not much gets by them. She told them it could be controlled from her cell phone!  So funny!
We waited (sort of) patiently to see if we might get to see Santa.
Emma held on to her ticket so proudly!
The elves made their way to us first.
And then, we saw Santa make his grand appearance!!!
Walker ran to see him!!!
Emma liked Santa as long as I held her, so I got to be in the picture, too.
Santa gave the kids their magic bells.
Walker pretty much dominated Santa's time. He asked for a red apron like the teachers at the preschool wear. The Big Guy was a little confused but said he would see what he could do. Good thing he has connections!
We had the best time together. The kids have not stopped talking about our trip and they are already asking to go back next year. I would say that the Nelson Family Christmas Celebration was an absolute success!!!
