Last week in Sunday School, my friend Laura and I were talking about how sick everyone had been lately and I said I felt like we were finally healthy after a month and a half of one sickness after the other...famous last words! About 2 minutes later, the trusty nursery pager went off so I headed to see what was the matter. Walker was running fever. Awesome. We went home and loaded him up with Motrin. Well, the fever went away on Monday but he just wasn't acting like himself. He is an awesome sleeper usually and we were getting up multiple times at night with him and he was super whiny during the day. So, to the doctor we headed...again. This time, Walker had his first double ear infection. The doctor said it was about a day away from rupturing. Good times. Mom of the Year right here. Some yummy amoxicillin and some ear drops and he was all set to go. J's mom offered to keep Walker for a couple of nights since we had not slept any. It was so nice to get some rest and also to have some special time with just Ella Kate. When we picked her up from school, we went to the fair and let me tell you, this girl that a blast!!!!
We ran in to her best buddies Jane Gray, Sam and Anne Marie and we got to play with them some too! Mr. Bill was a sport to ride the bear tilt-a-whirl thing with all 4 kids!!!
While we were busy with our big girl, Bubba was keeping Nana and Meemaw on their toes in Columbus. These are some of the pictures Nana sent while he was visiting them.
On Saturday, EK and I caught a ride with G and Kay Kay to Starkville. We got yogurt at Local Culture before heading to the game. Ella Kate was entertained by searching for every water tower in the Golden Triangle area and she especially loved all the "pageant girls" during the Homecoming festivities.
It was a super fun weekend and here's to hoping we can actually stay well this week!!!!! Fingers crossed!!!!
