EK's Sew Fun 8th Birthday

It's no surprise that EK loves being creative.  She has been taking sewing after school each Wednesday and has adored every minute so it was a pretty easy selection when it came to a birthday party theme. EK hasn't had a party in several years, so she was itching for it to be her turn. We decided to celebrate a little early due to the whole summer birthday thing and yesterday was the big day.
We invited a small group of girls to sew and the amazing ladies of Sew Fun Studios handled the rest.  The girls got their instructions and then got to work.
First up...pinning the fabrics.

Then it was time to stitch the lining together.

Next, they added the hand drawn appliqués.
While waiting on the next step, there was a lot of this. She was just so excited!
We snapped lots of pics as well. EK loved having Haley, Kay Kay and Nana in on all the sewing fun.

W and Em were in attendance as well.
They spent most of their time in the gym on their riding toys.
W got locked in the ball cage. He was not amused.
After the sewing was complete, it was time for cake and ice cream!

Such precious little ladies!
The seamstresses created precious tote bags so we needed some shots with their completed projects!

I can't thank Ms Lacey and her crew enough for such an amazing party! Lacey is EKs weekly sewing teacher and a dear friend. We just love her so much!
EK seemed quite pleased with her party and it really was sew much fun. Happy (early) Birthday to our almost 8 year old!
