Summer Is In Full Swing

It's been a week since Emma's tonsillectomy.  The night before surgery, EK and Walker spent the night with my parents since we had to be up so early for pre op. While we were down to one kid, we ran a few errands and one of our stops was at the outlet mall. Emma was quite pleased with the rides we found there!
We were up bright and early Friday morning. Emma tensed up and starting say "no hospital" as soon as we took the exit and saw the rainbow sign. She calmed a bit thanks to some dancing and iPad distractions!
Plastic gloves are always a hit as well!
She rocked her surgery and we were home by lunchtime. She cried very little but was a bit whiny for a while. We got home and I opened the freezer to grab her a Popsicle, as I opened the freezer drawer she said "I want a waffle!"  So, that is what she got....two to be exact. She has continued to eat, sleep and act as if nothing has happened to her. She is such a brave and strong little girl! Let's hope our next surgery in a few weeks goes as well!
EK and Walker had a big time at G and Kay Kay's. They made a library run to get new books....this also meant that all of Walker's choices had to read immediately amd repeatedly. They also took a trip to the splash pad by Haley's house. They had a blast!
Meanwhile...this one kept eating.......
This week was VBS at our church.  EK said that craft time was her favorite and Walker enjoyed recreation the most. They both loved getting to be with their sweet friends and singing and dancing to the catchy VBS tunes.
Emma stayed with Kay Kay while we were busy at VBS. She cried everyday when I picked her up because she loved her special one on one time so much!
And why wouldn't she??? They went to Hobby Lobby, Dollar Tree, and to eat Mexican. What more could a girl want?
We got in our first swim of the summer yesterday. EK and Walker did so well, and after about an hour and a half, Emma warmed up to the idea of the water. Hopefully she will learn to love it like her brother and sister!
I guess that's about it for us right now!  Happy Summer!
