Thanksgiving in Columbus

We started out our time in Columbus this week with a surprise birthday party celebration for our sweet Pam. She is the kindest, most genuine, caring soul who is constantly taking care of others. It was so incredible to do something for her for a change! She was shocked when she walked in....especially because her birthday was a month ago!
Happy Birthday, Pam!!! You are so loved!!!
Pam's daughter Kat is a baby whisperer. She constantly has littles hanging all over her and she is amazing with all of them. So, it was no surprise to see this picture snapped!
But this made it even more fun!
Confetti for the win!
My little flower girl Kat is all grown up and I'm finding it hard to wrap my mind around the fact that she will be in college next fall!
Our next run in with Pam was not as pleasant as the party! Walker got his school shots and then it was flu shots for everyone. They did great but they would much rather play with Pam outside of her office!
Thankfully she did get a smile out of him because he as pretty pitiful after 4 shots!
Back to Nana's and time to earn their keep!
It wasn't all work though. They did a lot of this!

EK thought it was the perfect day for a picnic and it really was pretty great!
Emma got to bring home her class mascot over the break. We have been documenting Quackers adventures so you may see him pop up in pictures.
Countless trips were made to the fire station. This fire fighter was quite fond of Emma and let her push every button, whistle, siren in the truck. She loved every minute.
Nana loves getting family pictures when we all get together during Thanksgiving, so we did our best to delivery. The weather was questionable so we opted for the front porch. These littles sure do love their Nana and Pop!

Happy kids. Happy grandparents.
Thankful for all these Nelsons. I really lucked up in the inlaw department!!!
We had such a nice visit and are excited to get back together in a few weeks!
