Christmas Eve 2017

Christmas Eve fell on a Sunday this year which for most people, doesn't make much of a difference...not the case when you are married to a minister!!! It was an extra busy day but it was a good one. We started off the day with the 10:45 service at church. I love these poinsettias so we always have to grab a snap in front of them!

Our family did the advent wreath for the week.  EK did a beautiful job with the reading.
We were back at church for the 4:00 service. This is always my favorite service of the year. There is just something about Silent Night by candlelight.

We sure missed having Jo, Ross, Haley and Robert with us this Christmas!
After church, we grabbed some waffles at Waffle House. This was one of my family's traditions every Christmas Eve when I was growing up and this year did not disappoint.  So good.

We got back to the house and changed into our jams to open our little family gifts.

We sprinkled some reindeer food.

And we left out some cookies and milk.
Then it was time to get snuggled into bed. The kids decided to have a party and all stay in EKs room so they could make sure to all wake up at the same time the next morning. Excited kids!!!
