Once Upon A Fairy Tale

My mom, the girls and I attended the Once Upon A Fairly Tale event over the weekend. The girls were thrilled to see their favorite princesses and I was thrilled to get to play a small part in caring for orphans in Guatemala. The friends that dreamed up this tea party event did so as a means to fund a year's worth of school for an entire orphanage in Guatemala. How amazing is that?!?!? I love getting to have conversations with EK about the orphan crisis worldwide and how people can make an impact on those kids' lives even without knowing them personally. Bless her heart though, as we drove home from the tea party, we passed by the state fair. EK asked "where does all the money from the fair go? Who all do they help?"   We had to explain that not all events are charitable events. She said, "well as much money as it cost to go there, they could at least give a little away!"  Out of the mouth of babes!!!!

We found our seats and the girls checked out their swag bags.
Wands and autograph books for the win!
The princesses starting making their rounds. EK was smitten with each of them and had trouble determining her favorite.

Emma.....well.....she just ate.....and ate.....and ate. Seriously, she ate 4 sandwiches, a chicken salad croissant, several puffed pastries, brownie, strawberries.....you get the idea.
Emma would allow the princesses to sign her book but she was not interested in having her picture made because ALL THE FOOD!!!
That is until she saw Sleeping Beauty. She jumped up from her seat and grinned from ear to ear.
She was equally as excited to have her picture with Prince Charming. She adored him!
Em just HAD to have her picture with Mulan....obviously!!!
One of Em's little friends from school was there as well. They had the best time playing together!
We snapped our picture in the photo booth before heading home. The tea party was precious and I'm so glad mom and I were able to share the day with the girls!
