Several people have asked how things are going for us. I seem to answer each time with "we are surviving." Some moments are simply beautiful as the picture above would suggest, yet other times are far less attractive. There have been some hard moments but we didn't expect everything to be rainbows and butterflies. God didn't call us into adoption because it is pretty and easy. He called us to grow our family in this way and with any growth comes stretching and adjusting. We are confident in His plan and look forward to seeing it unfold in our family. In the meantime, we will live minute by minute. We will strive to love each other more and more and offer grace far more than we want to or feel like the other deserves. Because let's be honest, that's the Gospel and that's what we want to be about.
