Spring Days

Our April calendar has been a welcomed break from the craziness of the last few months!!!  We are still finding plenty of things to keep us busy, but at a much more manageable pace!!!  Our United Methodist Women hosted a Tablescapes event last week.  Y'all, it was insane.  The fellowship hall was jammed packed with fancy things and all I could think was "man, my china is still packed in the boxes we got it in 9 years ago!!!!!"  Sister Shubert was the guest speaker and it was really interesting to hear about how her company got started and grew and grew and about how they are making a difference for orphans around the world with the blessings they have received through those tasty little rolls.  (By the way, I am in a UMW Circle....I thought only 80 year old ladies were in circles!)
We went for our weekly lunch with Papaw.  Good thing EK made binoculars at school.  They sure made the duck watching a bit easier.
EK and I attended a bday part for her buddy Myers.  I asked EK if she knew anything about Ninja Turtles and she said "Not really," but that didn't stop her from joining in all the festivities!
Walker got stung by a wasp...in our living room.  We didn't even know the wasp was inside until we heard the screaming.  Poor little guy gave some good snuggles while his pinky toe was hurting.  (Also, I know you can't really see the sting mark, but how stinking cute are his little chubby toes!!!!)
EK is the Student of the Week this week and she was so excited to make her poster with her favorite things.  She was also super pumped to get to take the snacks for the week so it would be all the foods that she would actually eat!
We got out of the van today and Walker ran straight to the tree and said "Cheeeeeeeeeeeeese," so I had to take him up on the offer!!!!
So very thankful for these two and for the sunshine that returned today!!! Lunch outside was a much welcomed change from the downpours of the last few days!!!!
Happy Hump Day!!!
