Look Who Stopped by for a Visit

Life with 2 munchkins is busy...even though I don't know exactly what we have done!! Mom went home on Monday, so we have been on our own this week...yikes!!! I sure wish both sets of grandparents lived in the same town as us!!!!! We have enjoyed a few visitors this week though, and Ella Kate has had a blast with each if them.  One day, a little girl from the youth group came to play with EK.  She loved it and they played hide and seek for hours.  

Mama and Daddy came down today and visited with EK and Walker, and then took EK to "chick-a-lay" to eat and play.  We also got to watch the Dawgs big victory!!!! Super fun!!!!

And a super big THANK YOU to G and Kay Kay for taking Miss Priss back to Jackson for a couple of days!!! She was sooooooooo excited!!!!!

(For some reason, I didn't get a new picture with Kay Kay today, so this one is from a couple of weeks ago.  It is one of my favorites!!!!)

Aunt Carolyn and Papaw came by on two different days this week.  We soooo enjoyed their visits and Ella Kate LOVED playing with "Aunt Caroline."  

It has been a fabulous week and we are anxious to see what this next week holds! We are looking forward to traveling to Columbus soon to see the Nelsons, introduce Walker to some of our sweet Golden Triangle friends, and have his newborn pictures taken by the amazing Kelly Hayes!!!

Happy Birthday Haley!

Tomorrow, my baby sister turns 21.  I am not really sure how this is possible, but alas it is true.  Mom is staying with us this weekend, so Daddy and Haley drove down today so we could all celebrate together.  

Ella Kate is obsessed with Haley.  Everyone else does not even exist in EK's eyes when Haley is around.  Haley stayed with us a couple of days this week to help me pack up my classroom.  EK cried when Haley left.  It was pretty traumatic.  Thank goodness she came back so soon!!!

I had to bribe Ella Kate with smarties so I could get a picture with both of my babies.  

I love how she is looking at her baby brother in this picture.  She keeps asking me, "Can we keep him?"  When I tell her "yes, he is here to stay," she will say "Good, I do not want to take him back to the doctors." She's pretty sweet...when she wants to be!

Let me introduce you to our new addition...."Horsey Goes To Town" our new furreal pony.  A lady from our church found this gem at our Hudson's and wanted to share it with our kids.  This sucker moves his head, makes noises, moves his tail, walks, etc.  To be honest, it is quite creepy, but Ella Kate thinks it is awesome.  

In our efforts to get good pictures, Haley thought it wise to bring out "Horsey Goes To Town" and have that thing start attacking me as I attempt to capture a lovely photograph of my family.  I do not like horses.  Never have.  That goes for this toy as well! He bit me!

At least I got a good picture out of it!

My Loves

Loving Life at Home!!

We are so thankful to be home!  Our weekend has been fabulous so far.  We started out by celebrating Maroon Friday!!! We're just breaking him in early!!!

We have had a lot of special visitors.  We definitely feel loved!  One of the precious 9th grade girls from my D group made this little hat (and a maroon one for football season) for Walker.  I mean seriously, how cute it that hat?!?!?!

G came down yesterday and gave EK lots of special attention.  She just LOVES this man!!!

Papaw came down yesterday as well.  I think he was pretty smitten...I couldn't even get him to look at me for a picture!! He sat and held Walker for about and hour...Walker was quite content as well!!!

This sweet outfit was the outfit that J wore home from the hospital.  So special.  We took a couple of pictures in the bassinet that J's mom had made from her wedding dress, and the blanket was made for J by his Meemaw 30 years ago.  Just precious!

Ella Kate is IN LOVE with her little brother.  She has been precious!  She sings to him, kisses on him, talks to him...you get the idea.  Poor Walker is going to have another Mommy taking care of him for sure!

We are so thankful for the help of Aunt Haley! Ella Kate has loved all the attention.

Pam and Hunter Sykes came down to meet Walker.  We are beyond blessed to have such precious people in our lives!

EK LOVES her aunts!

So very thankful that Jordan was able to come to visit before all her Bar Prep stuff begins! And notice that sweet blanket? Jordan made it!!! It is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

We got to come home around lunch time today and we were thrilled to get an early release from the hospital.  Walker has been doing a lot of this since coming home.  He looks pretty comfy!

Walker has got a grip! I think it is too cute that he holds on to the paci to keep it in his mouth.  Sweet thing!
