The Beginnings to Our Spring Break

J and I spent the weekend in Fairhope, AL for the wedding of our sweet friend Baker.  We had such a fun weekend celebrating the happy couple, visiting with lots of friends, window shopping, eating yummy food, and enjoying uninterrupted, blissful sleep.  J served as a groomsman and also sang and played the guitar.  They had one of the most unique things that I have ever seen.  When Baker came out to the front of the church, he had his guitar on and began to play Canon in D.  Then as the next several groomsmen came down the aisle, each joined in on their guitars with the other parts of the song.  It was absolutely beautiful. Congrats to the new Mr. and Mrs. Baker Swedenburg!
One of the best parts of our students getting married is we get to visit with lots of other students that we have had through the years.  It's awesome.  In the top left picture, yeah, I taught her when she was in kindergarten....dagger to my heart....Madison is grown and taller than me!!!! Emily, Blair, Kelsey and Baker....some of our favorites!!!! Love all these people!!!!!
While we were away, the kids spent the weekend in Columbus.  They played outside a ton and had a grand time.  Walker got his hair cut....I sure wish I could make his hair cooperate as well as Ms Amy!!! Water bottles are never far from reach with my two! They will water anything and everything!!!
A trip to the fire station was a crowd favorite as well.  Walker is obsessed with "Nee-Naws"....(that would be the sound the siren makes) so he was in heaven.
Ella Kate loves a project and has been dying to learn to sew.  Check out the precious doll she made.  It is adorable and she is so proud.  She also found a pet lady bug.  She named her Sparkle.  She loves a lady bug and is quick to let you know that lady bugs are the official symbol for adoption in China so every lady bug she finds reminds us of Emma.
Mom and I went to pick up the kids this morning and after nap time, we enjoyed an afternoon at the park.

We so appreciate the Nelsons keeping the kids and making a way for us to have a weekend away in Fairhope, but I am so happy to have all my people back under one roof!!!! Happy Spring Break!!!
