Bay St. Louis 2018--Part 4

Our second day ended with a yummy dinner by the water and then a stroll down the beach in search of shells. There's just not much better!
It's a must to get in the puppy snuggles with Sophie before bed. My people loves puppies.
No trip to Aunt Carolyn's is complete without a picture on Papaw's swing. So many memories on that swing!
We woke up the next morning and did some shopping before heading back home. Our visits are short but jammed packed with fun and lots of memories made. Just like it happens every year, the kids start planning the next visit before even exiting Hancock county!  Thank you Aunt Carolyn for always being willing to host our wild and rowdy bunch!  We can't wait for next summer!

What better way to cool down after a hot July day on the water than at the splash park!  The kids are so jealous that Aunt Carolyn has this on her street. They just don't understand why our neighborhood doesn't have one...the nerve.

Bay St. Louis 2018--Part 2

We tried out a new adventure this year, and the Betsy Ann Riverboat did not disappoint!  We boarded our boat for a two hour tour along the coast. The captain and crew were amazing.  There was a bit of a history/ecology lesson mixed in with just a leisurely cruise down the beach. We all thoroughly enjoyed our time on this paddle boat...one of only 20 in America that rely solely on the paddle for power😉  See, I even listened to the captain's speech.

The kids got to take turns steering the ship.

All smiles because we had the best time on the Betsy Ann Riverboat!

Bay St. Louis 2018--Part 1

One of our absolute favorite summer activities is our yearly trip to the coast to Aunt Carolyn's house. We change up our must do's from year to year, but we have some constants that we just can't skip.  This year, EK got to check out Beauvoir. This was the home is Jefferson Davis and my history loving girl was in heaven. Kay Kay and G took her on the tour and when we met back up, she rattled off all the information she learned.
No surprise here....sister found her happy place!
They made a stop by the Dixie Division monument. This was my Papaw's infantry division (and Jefferson Davis' as well).
While EK was soaking up all the history, W, Em Aunt Carolyn and I took on Lynn Meadows. This is one of our favorite places to visit each year. It's always interesting to see what area the kids gravitate towards because it's always different. They loved the STEM area this year and spend the majority of the time exploring this area.
Ready to bring you the evening news!
Cute little grocery clerks!
They added a new observation area outside and W had the best time checking out the islands with the fancy telescope.
We ended our 1st day with Mexican food and MSUopoly....it was pretty perfect!
