Halloween 2015

No amount of rain could spoil our Halloween festivities!  Haley and Robert invited us over for trick or treating. They had quite the spread of snacks!
Robert grilled some tasty burgers and hot dogs as well. So yum!
There was even a jack-o-lantern pizza!  They seriously out did themselves!

Mom brought some crafts for the kids to do.

G played countless games with EK. He let her win each time. She thinks she is awesome at tic tac toe now!
Love them so...

The rain let up just a bit so we suited up in hopes of doing a little trick or treating.
I mean, could they be any cuter?
Little Red Riding Hood
The Big Bad Wolf
Grandmother....I can't even deal!
Love this rowdy bunch!
There may have been a conga line somewhere in there....
And there was most definitely some wrestling necessary to tame that big bad wolf!
We attemped to head out in search of some candy.
Thanks to the rain, we had to take our search back indoors.
Never fear!  We each got behind doors in the house and the kids went trick or treating to each of us. Not the ideal way to do it, but fun nonetheless.

Walker and Emma found it easiest to just fill their buckets from the candy stash by the door.

I think she is a fan of celebrating Halloween!
We made up some games on the fly to occupy the little people. (Think the "Grand Prize Game.")
We didn't have a ball so we threw a squishy stress ball shaped like a brain. Whatever works!

Haley had cookies for the kids to decorate as well.

More is more when it comes to sprinkles!
We loved spending our Halloween playing with our little people. A huge thank you to Haley and Robert for sure a fabulous get together!!!

Preschool Parade and Party

Walker and I had our class Halloween parties today. We came dressed in our costumes and even got to parade down the halls and through the administrative wing of the church to collect candy. Walker and I both dressed as Dak in honor of Maroon Friday.

We found J dressed as "Pastor Frank" as we made our way through the office suites.

Walker's hair was exceptionally lovely after wearing his helmet all morning! Bless him!
The kids are all sugared up and ready to take in all the Halloween festivities this weekend!

Sunday Funday

Our Sunday was jammed packed with goodness!  Our church does "All In" days several times a year where groups go out in the community and serve during the normal church hours. A group came to our neighborhood and helped a couple down the street do some yard work. They worked super hard and made a lot of progress. These sweet girls provided the snacks and drinks for the workers. They wanted to get in on the clean up action but thanks to all the power tools, they had to watch from a safe distance!
After church, we got to celebrate the bride-to-be at a wonderful shower.
2 months from today, she will be Mrs. Henshaw!!!
Ella Kate was responsible for carrying the gifts to Haley. She had so much fun getting to help Haley and loved getting to hang with Aunt Carolyn.
After the shower, EK and I headed downtown to the "Once Upon A Fairytale" event at The South. A group of ladies had a vision to send an entire orphanage in Guatemala to school for a year. So amazing!!!  So, a princess tea party fundraiser was born and it was a truly magical time!
We shared some snacks and EK made me some tea....complete with 6 sugar cubes!!!
She got to see her favorite princesses.  She loved every minute of chatting with them and getting their autographs.
Ballet Magnificat performed as well. Of course, the ballerinas were a hit with my dancing girl. We had such a good time and we are already looking forward to going again next year!!

Pumpkin Patch 2015

Today, we made the trip to Collins to go to Mitchell Farms. We started going to this pumpkin patch when we lived in Hattiesburg and although there are places closer to Jackson, it's our tradition and we love it!
We rode on the wagon ride around the farm.

Tiny Town is super cute complete with the rocking horse stable, jail, church, school and plantation home.
The corn pit is always a favorite!

Emma and Kay Kay did some rocking while the big 2 explored Tiny Town.
Walker was super excited to deliver a message from a kid sized pulpit. He was ALL ABOUT IT and did not want to leave. His sermon did get a little lengthy. He might need to work on that or his inbox will be filled with messages from disgruntled church members!!!

After TT, the kids went for a train ride.

We were so excited to have Aunt Carolyn join our crew today! Thanks for playing with us, Aunt Carolyn!!!
Swinging and sliding were up next.

The inflatable blob thing was super fun.
I love a head in the hole photo.

Pumpkin time!

We had the best time!  The weather was amazing (finally) and the company was incredible. Going to the pumpkin patch is one of my favorite fall activities and today's adventure was pretty much perfection!
