The Bulldog Black Out

Yesterday, Ella Kate and I loaded up with Kay Kay,
and Big G to head to Starkville to see the Bulldogs.
We picked up Haley and had a yummy lunch at the Grill...MMMM cheese sticks!!!!!....and then topped off our tasty lunch with some yogurt from Local Culture. It was DELICIOUS!!!!!!

Next, it was on to the tailgates. We did not set up a tailgate, but roamed around and got to visit with tons of sweet friends. First stop, the Columbus tent.
Ella Kate played a little bean bag toss....more like stole the bean bag mid game from some boys and took off with it. =)
We got some good hugs from precious Pam Sykes. EK kept saying, "It's too bright. I can't see." Hence the closed eyes in pictures. Oh well.

We also got to visit with Mary Dade...
and Celia Ford. We love getting to see our special friends from Columbus!!!!

Next stop, The Bulldog Buddies Tent:
We always love getting to see the Gordon Fam!!
I think that Ella Kate thought that Murphy was her little doll to play with. She wanted to hug him the whole time we were there. He was a good sport.
There were hugs to share with Mary Reeves too. I can't wait to show these pictures one day when they are in college together!!!!
It's hard work to get little ones to cooperate for my little photo sessions with so much going on around them! They are pretty sweet girls though!!!!
On to the Grenada Dawgs:
We stopped by sweet Sally's tent to get some Vera Kate love and also got to see a few DG friends. Tollie and Wendy were there visiting too! One of my favorite parts of football season is getting to see so many precious friends that I don't get to see often! It is great!!!!

Finally, it was GAME TIME!!!! We were all dressed in our black for the black out and headed to the stadium. Ella Kate was very excited....

But crashed as soon as we sat down! I have no idea how she fell asleep with the music booming but nevertheless, she napped like a champ.

EK woke up not long after the game started and as always, was AMAZING the whole game. She especially LOVED the fireworks and has continued to ask to see more of them. I hope they keep doing those each game!!! We did decide that the black uniforms should be BURNED and we should just stick with the traditional maroon and white. We do not play well in the black jerseys. It was bad. I am glad we pulled out the W, but seriously....that was not good!!!!
