Ella Kate's 2 Week Checkup

Ella Kate went for her 2 week checkup on Monday and got a great report. She now weighs 8 lbs 14 oz and she is 21 inches long. I can't believe how much older she looks just after 2 weeks! She was so great for Dr. Jones....I doubt the next visit will be so pleasant since she will be getting her shots!!

Ella Kate was wiped out after such a busy outing to the doctor. She slept like a rock all the way home. She looks a lot like my baby pictures. I am trying to find a picture of me sleeping in my car seat to compare.

Ella Kate's First Bath

So, I was a little nervous about the first "bath" but EK took it like a champ. She did not seem to mind it at all. She just smiled and was such a good sport. I love the smell of a baby...especially one that is straight out of a bath!!!!

Well, it seems that I have given in to the blogging world. J and I have a pretty amazing reason to share about our life right now. On Monday, we were surprised to welcome Ella Katherine into the world. I say surprised because I was actually scheduled to have a c-section today, but little miss priss had different plans. Everything went perfectly and I had an amazing delivery. Ella Kate came in at a whopping 8 lbs 1 oz and was 20 1/2 inches long. Here are a few pictures from the hospital. I will do my best to figure out this blogging thing and add some new pictures.
