It's a Great Day to be a Bulldawg!!!

Let's be honest....yesterday was SOOOOOO much fun!!!! There is nothing better than beating the Rebels...especially when it knocks them out of the top 25!!!! The game was super fun and EK got to experience her first Egg Bowl victory!!! Although she slept through the first 3 quarters of the game, she did get to see the 4th quarter and all the celebration.
Our dear friend Pam Sykes let us sit in the club level seats with her and we had an incredible time. Thank you Aunt Pam for being so sweet to us!

A little family photo after the win! Too bad EK didn't seem as happy as everyone else!!!!!

My 2 favorite players are in this picture. To the left of Bully is #39 Baker and to the right of Bully is #16 Tyson. Congrats guys!!!!
Here is Uncle Baker!!! Sadly in this picture you can not see EK's sweat band on her leg. Baker snagged it from the locker room for her to have. So kind !=)
And here is sweet Tyson. I cried when we saw him after the game! He is such an amazing man of God and I am so proud of all he has done to lead the team. He is so incredible and will do great things for the Kingdom in the future!!!!! Since EK was sleeping when we saw him, he told us to swing by his house during Christmas so he could play with her (he lives on J's parent's street.) We love you Tyson!!!!!

Gobble Gobble

We have had a very fun Thanksgiving thus far and it is not even over yet! J, EK, and I headed to Columbus on Wednesday to spend time with the Nelsons. It was great to have everyone together and so fun to see John David and Gregory with Ella Kate.

This is John David's car and his driving face. He is super creative and figured out on his own how to create these masterpieces.
Gregory wants to be just like his brother therefore he needed a car too.
Sweet cousins. John David LOVES EK. He talks so sweet to her and wants to teach her everything.
Here is John David reading to us. He is really good!! I am really impressed and proud of him!!
Moving on to Thanksgiving day. My dad's family always gets together on Thanksgiving to celebrate Christmas so this year we headed to my Aunt Diane and Uncle Gregg's house in Starkville. Here is Ella Kate with Mamaw Jones. I think everyone really enjoyed passing her around....she didn't seem to mind the attention either.
Jones grandkids and great grandkids minus Jordan. We missed you terribly Auntie Jo!!! I am so ready for you to get home!!!!!!!
My sweet little girl. Surprise, surprise, she is wearing my favorite hat!
Congrats Cuz!!! We are super excited for a new baby cousin! Glad you got some practice with my little girl to get ready for your own!!! I just know it is a girl! We can't wait until June to meet the sweet baby and we are so happy for you, Amanda and Brody.

Sweet Friends and Sweet Taters

Today one of my best friends came to visit! Lauren Gillentine Harris and her husband Josh came back to Mississippi for Thanksgiving. They live too far away in Miami and so we had a great time catching up. While LGH and I lived together in college, we would always go to Sonic for cheese sticks and sweet tea. Since there is NO SONIC IN MIAMI it was a must on our agenda today. We also ate lunch at Keifers and did a little shopping as well. It was great and we are excited to get to hang out again on Saturday at the Egg Bowl!!!!
Mom, stop taking my picture and feed me!!!!
Today was a big day for EK....SWEET POTATOES are now a part of our diet and I must say, she loves them as much are her mommy!!!
Yum yum in my tum tum!!!!!!

EK and her hat

My sweet friend Kelly Hayes took these pictures of Ella Kate at the tailgate yesterday. She is an amazing photographer and we just love her. She took our wedding pictures, EK's newborn pictures, and she will be photographing EK for many years to come!! Thanks Kelly!!! You are the best and I can't wait to get EK in that tutu for some pictures soon!!!!

Happy Birthday J!

Saturday was J's 27th birthday. We started the celebrating on Thursday by going to Little Tokyo with my parents. As Rachel Ray would say, "Yum-o!!!!" Ella Kate loved watching everything (even the big fire) and Tony cooked us a fabulous meal. On Friday we headed to Columbus to stay with the Nelsons. They were so sweet and kept EK so J and I could go to the MSU bball game....as depressing as it was. Saturday morning, J's grandmother came over and we had a yummy lunch...including caramel cake!!! Debbie McLauren makes the BEST caramel cake!!!!!! Then it was time to head to Sville. What a birthday present a W would have been!!!! Oh well, it was still a great atmosphere and the black jerseys were a fun surprise. A football first happened to us while in our seats. An Alabama fan was sitting 2 rows behind us. Apparently he had too much to drink because he proceeded to throw up on himself and the row of people in front of him (they were Alabama people too.) He was not even able to pick his head up as this took place. The police came and basically carried this grown man out of the stadium. Think back to elementary. Remember the orange sprinkle powder? That was then brought out to clean up the mess. Fun Times!!!!
Ella Kate and the birthday boy.
Waiting on Uncle Baker at the Dawg Walk.
There he is!!! I teared up a little bit when I saw him. For those that don't know, Baker was in our youth group in Columbus and was one of the boys that J discipled. He was in our wedding and is our dear friend. I am so proud of him!!!!
Once again, EK thinks that game time is nap time! She stayed awake for about 3 quarters though. Thanks Kay Kay for all your help!!!!

1st Day of School

Ella Kate started going to Mother's Day Out with me in Brandon. J has been so wonderful to keep her every Tuesday and Thursday, but I was happy to give him a break! It has been an experience for sure. I did not realize that at 4 months a baby can be so attached to her mommy. It is getting better every time we go, so hopefully in a week or so she will be just fine.
Here is Ella Kate with her buddy Ann Peyton. They are the only 2 babies in the infant room, and this is what they do the whole time!
Happy little girl

Apparently school is helping Ella Kate develop her literacy skills. After we got home she decided to hold her own book and read it. She is so brilliant!

Our Little Punkin'

Ella Kate and I spent Halloween in Madison. We had a great brunch with my Mamaw and Papaw Porter and we got to spend time with my sister Haley. Mamaw made this little ghost dress and my mom appliqued the ghost on it...too cute! I love hats, so I got this one for EK off of etsy.com. It came with 7 different colored flowers so you can always match your outfit! How festive, right?
Ella Kate was far too interested in watching the Bulldogs on TV to smile for my pictures. At least we pulled out the W!!! It is about time!!!
Our little punkin'. She was not a fan of the pumpkin but she wore it for a little bit while we greeted the trick or treaters. Best costume to come to the door: 2 Michael Jacksons complete with rhinestone jackets, socks and gloves...quite cute! Funniest thing to happen: "Thomas the Tank Engine" (a 4-ish little boy) decided after getting his candy that he would just like to come on inside and see what my family was doing. He headed on down the hall before his mother even realized what was going on.

Yeah for big girl food! This is EK's first experience and she loves it. Only problem is she really likes to help with her bottles and the spoon, so it becomes very messy!!!
