Awards Day

EK finished out her school year on Thursday with Awards Day. She loves school and loves to learn. Fingers crossed she will always be so passionate about her studies!

She was so excited each time her name was called that she skipped/ran down the steps and onto the floor. She was seriously giddy.

EK received an award for All A's for the year.  She also became a member of the "Million Word Club" after reading 4.6 million words this year. She was recognized for her AR points scored and for being the top reader in her grade. She placed second in the elementary for points scored, as well.
Sweet littles cheering on big sister.

G was with us for the awards program.
And then we stopped by Kay Kay to show off all the ribbons, certificates and trophy.
It's been a really good year and our girl continues to thrive at our sweet school. I'm so grateful for the teachers and staff who love on, encourage, challenge, and lead EK each day and for the example of Christ that they show her.

Another Year In The Books

These pictures blow my mind every single year!  They change so much in such a short time. It's wild. All three had fabulous years in school and are ready for 3rd grade, K5 and K4....after we enjoy some much needed summer vacation!🍎📚✏️🖍✂️

Recital Time

Today was EK's 5th ballet recital. The theme of the show this year was Wizard of Oz and EKs group danced to Ruby Red Slippers. It's wild that she has been involved in dance for 5 years. She absolutely adores every minute of dance and has determined that it will be her "thing."  We shall see if that passion continues after her time in the summer intensive program in a few weeks😳

She's just so happy when she is on the stage. As G says, "she's a star!"
EK has made some precious friends in her class like sweet Carys.  Love her!
EKs adoring fans were in attendance.  We seriously have the best of the best who go above and beyond to  make our kids feel important and loved.

It makes me smile to see this sweet girl perform. She just beams and there is such  joy and happiness on her face. Can't wait to see what is in store for my dancing girl!

Scenes from the T Ball Field

W has finished his very first tball season and it's safe to say, he loved it!  Here are some shots from our action packed Saturday mornings.

I'm fairly certain that W had this biggest fan base in the park. My kids are so lucky to have all these folks (and dogs) that show up to see them do their thing.

Our team celebrated  a successful season with a party  at Brent's (our team sponsor).
W was fired up to receive his very first trophy.
So proud!

It's been fun boys.  Let's do it again next year!

May is Cray!

Y'all, May is so crazy business! I feel like we are all limping/crawling to the finish line of this school year but the light at the end of the tunnel is becoming brighter by the minute!  So, let's recap a few of the happenings in our house.

Poor W received his very first shiner about a week and a half ago. You will be seeing a lot of it over the next few weeks and just for kicks, here's the progression of the shiner so far.....

Right after the incident (W and another boy were jumping through a sprinkler and the boy's head just hit w in the perfect spot to create such a spectacular boo boo.
The morning after....impressive swelling
Day 2
B
And at about a week in....it's looking much better but it's not going down without a fight.👊🏻
W and Em went to Columbus for several days while I finished out all of my preschool obligations. They had an outstanding time as usual and I'm so grateful the Nelsons were willing to help me out in such a huge way!
They put some miles on the golf cart and visited the fire station too many times to count.
W got to experience the glory that is Dudy Noble one last time before the new stadium expansion takes place. He loved his date with Aunt Pam almost as much as  he loved the dippin dots she bought him😉
Best buddies!
Easy Rider

Sweet summertime means playing in the sprinkler....only this time, let's hope for no more black eyes!

Seriously, they had the best time with Nana and Pop.
I got to eat lunch with EK and celebrate her summer birthday with her seeet friends one day.
I absolutely love listening to their conversations. They are hysterical.

We also got to go to an assembly  last week when they recognized the students who met their AR goals for the nine weeks. I believe they needed 15 points to be recognized and yes, I'm going to brag (it's my blog and I can bc I'm so stinking proud) EK had 284 for the nine weeks. Girlfriend is an incredible reader and leads her grade (second in the whole elementary) in points scored. I'm so glad she took after her aunt Jordan and not her mama😉

We got the chance to see a sweet former student get married over the weekend. J performed the ceremony which is always such a special thing and we got to visit with so many friends from Shiloh. It was the first church we served as a married couple and we have such precious memories from our time and some of the most precious friendships as well.
This girl. I can't even deal. She was in the 7th or 8th grade when we met and now she's a grown up that  I consider my daughter/little sister. It was good for me heart to get to spend some time with my Brooke!
My wedding date was pretty spectacular as well!  I love getting to do life with this guy!
That about wraps up this random recap. Up next, more tball and the much anticipated dance recital!
