Cheering On The Patriots

MRA played JA on Friday and it was finally time for EK to get to cheer at the game. This is something she talks about all year. She loves to perform! The girls got to do a chant and dance at the pep rally.

Walker and Haley cheered from the stands!
Before the game, the elementary had a huge tailgate party. We enjoyed some tasty treats and good fellowship before finding our seats for the game. Of course these two found each other immediately!
It seems that Walker is smitten with an older woman!!! He adores sweet Sutton who just happens to be his teacher's daughter! She is a doll!
EK found her Patriot Pal (fifth grade buddy for each first grader.)
Sweet little friends!
Ready for the spirit line!

The first grade got to cheer on the track for the second quarter.

It sure is a shame that she didn't enjoy herself!

Emma cheered along in the bleachers. So cute!
We loved cheering on the Patriots to a big victory and of course we loved getting to watch Miss Priss put on a show!

Fall Fest

Our church hosted a fall fest last night. There was a great turn out of both church members and also friends from around the community. We had a great time (even though it was HOT) and so appreciate all the hard work of the staff and the volunteers who made this event possible!

Walker LOVED, LOVED, LOVED all the inflatables!
Ella Kate took off with her BFF Sienna as soon as they arrived. They are the absolute sweetest and I am so thankful for this precious friend for my girl.
Emma's favorite activity was eating. Shocker.
Three kids going full speed in three different directions definitely required back up support!
I'm so very grateful for my parents for lots of reasons but on this particular day, I'm especially grateful for their willingness to help me chase kids!

We played a few games.  We may need to work on her form a bit.
Serious business!

It seems 2 of my people have that trait that makes it necessary to stick your tongue out when you are working hard. So funny.
So much fun!
It was a good night with my loves!  On to our next fall activity!

Weekly Wrap Up

We had a lovely week!  I had a lunch date with my first grader and then we hit up the book fair. A couple of observations.....1) Scholastic Book Fairs still love the cat posters. Luckily, I went shopping with EK so I was able to keep her away from all things poster related. 2) The school cafeteria still smells exactly as it did the last time I was in there....15 years ago!
These girls are precious.  Their lunch table conversations were hysterical.
J was at a conference all week in Atlanta, so Nana came to hang out with us for a few days.  We so enjoyed her visit and we were all sad to see her go!  Thanks Nana for all your help around the house (including all our laundry and ironing!) and thanks for keeping the kids while I made some head way on my Christmas shopping without my little helpers tagging along!
We made a trip to the park after carpool one afternoon. They had a blast on all the new equipment!

We met up with G for dinner this weekend to watch the football games. We sat outside and took in the lovely fall weather. Yay for yummy food and a bulldog victory! We missed Kay Kay! (she was in Alabama for a shower for Haley and Robert.)

I snapped the picture of EK and G and then Emma insisted on being taken out of her high chair so she could have her picture too. She wants to be JUST like her sister!

This little boy was a huge fan of the bluegrass band that was performing. He danced a bit and then sat so still as he took it all in. Maybe he will be a musician?
We were all up and ready for church way earlier than normal today so Walker suggested we take pictures. Done.
Sweet shadows.
That's about it for our week. We have fall fest and a few more fun activities coming up this week, so it will be a good time fore sure!!!

Hello, October!

So, October is here and what a difference a year makes!!!  We snapped this picture of the kids right after we got Emma's referral a year ago. It seems like it was ages ago and just yesterday all at the same time!
Now my heart might explode!  The Lord has been so gracious to our family and truly held us throughout the adoption process and He has continued to do so as we have been home navigating this crazy life of parenting 3 tiny humans. Do we have everything figured out? Absolutely not. Will we continue to strive to live out the calling the Lord has given us?  Absolutely. We are humbled and honored to get to share life with these three!
And a few random happenings........
We had some amazing fall weather this weekend. Mom and Dad got the big kids on Saturday and took them to the car show at the Renaissance. They had a fabulous day. Walker liked getting to see the fancy, classic cars. EK was more excited about getting to go Barnes and Noble.

Fun times for sure!
They did a little window shopping.

These two would stay in the bookstore all day. Walker sang a few songs on the stage and picked out some goodies. EK found a stack of books to read. She loves to read so much!
This guy. I don't even know what to say. As we were getting the kids ready for church on Sunday, I looked over and he was standing in the doorway like this. He is such a mess.

Monograms, sweaters and bows....a few of my favorite things!
Walker was fired up for the fire truck to visit the preschool today. The firefighters did a presentation and video and then all the kids got to climb through the truck. No matter how many times he has seen a truck, he still gets giddy when he has the chance to be around them.
Our October calendar is full of fun fall festivities. It's going to be an exciting month!
